Different ways to support someone
Understand the difference between an accountability partner and a care circle member, and how permissions work when supporting someone.
Accountability Partner
An accountability partner offers encouragement without managing your account.
You choose which notifications and updates they may receive. They can follow selected progress and send supportive messages, but they do not receive broad access to your information.
Can:
- Receive notifications selected by the individual
- Subscribe to approved task, routine, medication, or progress updates
- Send encouragement and supportive messages
Cannot:
- View all account data
- Create or edit another person's tasks
- Assign tasks
- Manage another person's medications
- Change permissions
- Administer the account
Care Circle Member
A care circle member can collaborate more directly when permission is granted.
Depending on their role and permissions, care circle members may help coordinate tasks, routines, check-ins, medications, and other areas of support.
May be allowed to:
- View selected information
- Create tasks or routines on another person's behalf
- Assign and coordinate responsibilities
- Participate in shared check-ins
- Assist with medication information
- Collaborate with other trusted supporters
- Use selected features on behalf of the person receiving support
An accountability circle is a restricted form of care circle focused on notifications, encouragement, and lightweight support.
Joining a circle does not change your personal plan
You can join a care circle with a Free or paid account. When supporting someone with an eligible paid plan, you may be given access to selected features on their behalf. That access applies only while helping that person and does not unlock those premium features for your own profile.
For example, a Free member may be allowed to view or update another person's medication information inside a care circle. The Free member would still need an Individual or Circle subscription to manage medications for their own profile.
